Job Description
- Financial planning and management of MBRSG approved budget (operational and capital) as per the approved policies and procedures.
- Monitor budget and expenditure, ensure compliance with approved fund disbursement, and submit regular financial reports to senior management related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, and expenses to further ensure financial monitoring of revenue and expenditure.
- Disseminate and coordinate the approved budget to School Departments to calculate financial, capital and operational projections. Submit MBRSG annual budget report and internal management reports to senior management and departments.
- Manage MBRSG payrolls.
- Manage debit account, credit account, and monitor cash flow.
- Manage the general ledger.
- Manage MBRSG treasury.
- Review and approve invoices to collect fees and revenues, including tuition fees, wages, customer payments and other charges.
- Organize and prioritize supplier payments in accordance with payment terms to ensure payment of invoices on time.
- Review and approve MBRSG asset depreciation reports.
- Conduct financial analysis of potential financial crashes, financial performance and results, and the financial implications of the action plans and strategies.
- Ensure financial estimates correspond to financial provisions / policies/ clauses agreed upon internally and externally, and notify the relevant organizational Divisions when discrepancies arise.
- Communicate with external bodies such as the Department of Finance to submit financial estimates and discuss the same as necessary.
- Communicate with certified approved auditors as necessary.
- Monitor the documentation of grants and donations, and monitor disbursement to support research and administrative costs.
- Minimize institutional financial risk through official ongoing mechanisms to identify, assess and prioritize opportunities open to MBRSG.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Master's Degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited university. Experience
5+ years combined accounting and finance experience.
Preferably with:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles & procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
