About the Role
A European-headquartered power tools and outdoor equipment manufacturer is establishing its presence in the Middle East and building its regional infrastructure.
This role will be instrumental in setting up and leading the finance function from the ground up, while also supporting ERP implementation and IT systems coordination in alignment with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Setup & Governance
- Establish the regional finance function (banking, chart of accounts, policies, internal controls)
- Set up financial processes, reporting frameworks, and compliance structures
- Ensure adherence to UAE regulatory, VAT, and statutory requirements
Financial Management
- Manage monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Oversee payroll, working capital, and treasury activities
- Coordinate with external partners (auditors, tax advisors, banks)
ERP & Systems Integration
- Lead ERP implementation and integration with global systems
- Drive process automation and reporting standardization
- Ensure data integrity and alignment with HQ reporting requirements
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with global HQ finance and operations teams
- Support leadership with financial insights and decision support
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial and supply chain teams
Candidate Profile
- 6–10+ years of experience in finance/accounting roles, preferably within distribution, manufacturing, or consumer goods
- Proven experience in setting up or scaling finance functions in a new market or entity
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT, compliance, and regulatory environment
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Exposure to IT systems coordination / digital finance environments is advantageous
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a hands-on, build-phase environment
