Role Overview
The Finance Manager for Pay10 Egypt will lead all financial operations for the new Egypt entity, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and internal controls. The role acts as the key finance partner to the CEO, ensuring full regulatory compliance, accurate reporting to the global finance team, and strong financial governance. This is a hands-on position focused on setting up the finance function from scratch, managing banks and audits, supporting business decisions with financial insights, and enabling Pay10's growth in the Egypt market.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations for the Egypt entity, acting as the single point of contact for all finance matters locally.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local regulations and Group policies (e.g. IFRS/local GAAP as applicable).
- Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, accruals, and closing activities.
- Prepare and submit regular management reports, variance analyses, and commentary to the global finance team.
- Support consolidation and group reporting requirements as requested.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting process for Egypt in coordination with global finance and local management.
- Prepare periodic forecasts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and track performance against budget.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support business decisions, pricing, product initiatives, campaigns, and expansion plans.
- Identify risks and opportunities and proactively recommend corrective actions.
3. Cash Flow, Treasury & Banking
- Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements to ensure the entity's liquidity needs are met.
- Manage relationships with local banks and payment partners; oversee bank accounts, signatories, and online banking platforms.
- Coordinate with global treasury on funding, intercompany charges, FX exposure, and capital repatriation in line with group policy and local regulations.
4. Compliance, Tax & External Stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with Egyptian financial, tax, and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to corporate tax, VAT, social insurance, and other statutory obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies (e.g. CBE/FRA or other relevant authorities, as applicable to the business).
- Coordinate annual statutory audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings or recommendations.
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and internal controls to support all filings and audits.
5. Internal Controls & Governance
- Design, implement, and maintain appropriate internal controls over financial processes (payments, approvals, expenses, revenues, reconciliations).
- Ensure adherence to global finance policies, delegations of authority, and compliance frameworks.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and control.
6. Business Partnering & Support to Management
- Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and key stakeholders in Egypt.
- Provide financial insights and KPIs to support decision-making in areas such as:
- Digital payments, issuing/acquiring, wallets, and other fintech products
- Customer and product profitability
- Opex and headcount planning
- Support commercial negotiations with vendors, partners, and service providers from a financial perspective when required.
7. Function Set-up & Future Team Leadership
- Establish the finance function from the ground up, including processes, tools, and documentation.
- Collaborate with global finance to implement ERP/accounting systems and reporting tools as needed.
- In the future, potentially mentor and lead junior finance staff in Egypt as the team grows.
