ABOUT THE COMPANY:

As part of our exciting expansion into the Middle East, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Finance Manager, you will lead the entire finance function, act as the senior accountant of the finance team, and work closely with the owners, sales team, and project managers to drive financial discipline, profitability, and sustainable growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Management:
- Supervise all financial aspects within company, identifying areas for improvement to facilitate company expansion.
Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements specific to the UAE.
Invoicing Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing, cash collection, reducing billing errors and improving cash flow.
- Cash Flow Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to anticipate financial needs and ensure liquidity.
Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with the team and have up to date information to provide accurate and timely reporting to the Board and Management Team. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships and assess the performance of outsourced providers, including accounting and audit firms.
Bank Management:
- Oversee and own bank payments processes, reconciliation, and other banking activities.
Accounting Software:
- Have ownership of accounting software and ensure its effective utilization.
Finance Function Oversight:
- Direct and execute all aspects of the finance function, from data entry to financial reporting, ensuring completeness and accuracy throughout.
Annual Filing and Audit:
- Provide support for annual filing and audit processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Manage quarterly VAT return submission, making sure every entry is accurate and there are no late penalties applied. Preparation of annual corporate tax returns.
Internal collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to track and check all the commercial offerings. Integrate financial discipline throughout the team.
- Capture all agreements and invoices.
- Timely financial information capture in order to have the latest financial information in place and supporting financial health of the company.
Project Accounting:
- Lead project accounting for the region, including financial tracking, management, and reporting for specific major projects.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with consultant accountants, banks, and other outsourced finance partners to ensure excellent service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Financial Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with UAE statutory reporting requirements.
- Timely Reporting: Submit accurate financial reports to the Board and Management Team within specified deadlines.
- Cost Efficiency: Implement measures to optimize costs and maximize efficiency in financial operations.
- Accuracy of Financial Data: Achieve a high level of accuracy in financial data entry and reporting, with minimal errors.
- Project Financial Management: Successfully manage the financial aspects of major projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and timely reporting.
- Audit Preparedness: Ensure all financial records are audit-ready at all times and facilitate a smooth audit process.
- Revenue Growth: Contribute to revenue growth through effective financial management and strategic decision-making.
- Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry best practices and trends.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a similar industry or role.
- Thorough understanding of UAE statutory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
