Job Description

Job Purpose

The Finance Manager – Holding Company is responsible for overseeing and managing the full accounting function across multiple entities within the group, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS standards. The role involves leading financial close processes, managing group consolidation and intercompany activities, and driving strong internal controls and governance. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with auditors, tax advisors, and senior leadership to support strategic decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance financial performance across the organisation.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant / ACCA is strongly preferred

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial role supervising an accounting team
  • Mandatory experience within a holding company, group structure, or multi-entity environment
  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounting
  • General Ledger (GL)Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Fixed Assets Treasury coordination
  • Proven ownership of year-end close and audit processes
  • Direct exposure to external auditors and resolving complex accounting issues
  • GCC/Qatar experience is an advantage

Industry & Technical Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS standards
  • Experience with
  • Group consolidation & intercompany eliminations
  • Accounting for subsidiaries, JVs, and associates
  • Good understandingof
  • IFRS 16 (Leases)
  • IAS 36 (Impairment)
  • IAS 37 (Provisions)
  • IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition)
  • Knowledge of VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax compliance
  • Familiarity with
  • Internal controls and financial governance frameworks
  • Group accounting policies and chart of accounts
  • ERP systems configuration in a multi-entity environment

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee accounting operations across multiple entities within the holding group
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles
  • Review and approve
  • Journal entries
  • Reconciliations
  • Financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and accuracy of financial records
  • Own the year-end audit process, including
  • Preparation of statutory financials
  • Coordination with auditors
  • Resolution of audit findings
  • Enforce group accounting policies and internal controls
  • Oversee Fixed asset registers
  • Lease accounting schedules
  • Provision calculations
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
  • Work closely with tax advisors on compliance matters
  • Support the Finance Director on technical accounting and strategic initiatives
