A high-performing brokerage in Abu Dhabi is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced Financial Officer to join their growing operation. About the Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong exposure to regulated financial institutions, ideally within ADGM or DIFC. The role sits at the core of the firm's financial operations, working closely with senior leadership, regulators and internal teams.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, transparency and integrity of the firm's financial reporting, from daily reconciliations to monthly closes, regulatory submissions, client money calculations and long-term forecasting.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who wants ownership, visibility and the opportunity to influence financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
You will take ownership of a wide range of core finance functions, including:
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and maintaining accurate financial records
- Managing multicurrency bank reconciliations for both client and firm accounts
- Completing monthly journals, accruals, depreciation schedules, and MIS reports
- Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and preparing full financial statements
- Coordinating with auditors and assisting in regulatory inspections
- Performing daily client money calculations and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Managing financial reporting such as revenue summaries, rebates, and high-risk client activity
- Overseeing capital and liquidity adequacy calculations for regulatory reporting
- Preparing and filing monthly/quarterly VAT returns
- Reconciling trading volumes, exchange reports, and T+1 settlements
- Contributing to internal budgeting and multi-year financial projections
- Ensuring internal finance policies, controls, and procedures remain accurate and compliant
- Working closely with senior management and cross-functional teams (Compliance, Operations, IT, Back Office, Marketing, etc.)
What We're Looking For:
Ideal candidates will bring:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting certification (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent)
- 5+ years post-qualification experience within the financial services sector
- Experience within a regulated environment (ADGM/DIFC highly preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial products such as FX, derivatives, CFDs, futures, and options
- Solid knowledge of UAE/ADGM reporting frameworks and regulatory expectations
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages a plus
