Job Description

Balich Wonder Studio KSA is seeking an experienced Finance Reporting Supervisor to join its Finance team in Riyadh. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role combines project controlling with finance, ensuring decision-ready numbers across complex, fast-moving, project-based operations.

The core mission is to create a reliable financial source of truth in a context where information can be fragmented across ERP, project trackers, procurement files, production logs, and ad-hoc spreadsheets. The role consolidates, reconciles, and explains performance, protecting accuracy and financial discipline.

The position acts as a bridge between Accounting, Production/Project teams, HR, Procurement, and HQ. It requires the confidence to challenge assumptions, detect errors on both accounting and production sides, and translate financial rules into practical actions for stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role requiring direct involvement in data consolidation, reconciliation, and month-end analytical reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting, Data Integration & Performance Insights
  • Consolidate financial and operational data from multiple departmental sources; validate completeness, consistency, and traceability.
  • Prepare and maintain the monthly management reporting pack (company and project views) with clear variance drivers, commentary, and an action list for management.
  • Build and maintain standardised templates and master data (projects, cost centres, mapping logic) to reduce manual rework and prevent errors.
  • Maintain reconciliation bridges between management reporting and accounting outputs; ensure figures can be traced back to source documents.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Variances Control
  • Coordinate the Budget and rolling forecast cycles at company and project level, aligning inputs across Production, HR, Procurement, and Accounting.
  • Translate production assumptions into robust cost-to-complete and cash outlooks; keep pipeline forecasts realistic and updated.
  • Monitor budget consumption and commitments; flag overruns early, challenge gaps, and enforce disciplined re-forecasting and change control.
  • Project & Production Controlling (Finance Business Partnering)
  • Track project profitability, committed costs and margins.
  • Review POs and supplier commitments versus approved budgets; ensure timely accruals, provisions, and correct project/cost centre coding.
  • Partner with Producers and Project Managers to improve planning discipline, cost visibility, and financial transparency.
  • Oversee allocation logic for shared resources and corporate costs across projects, ensuring consistency and auditability.
  • Month-End Close & Quality Reviews
  • Support month-end close with analytical reviews and quality checks (budget vs accruals) to protect accuracy.
  • Reconcile key accounts impacting performance (advances, accruals, prepayments, inter-company, payroll allocations, WIP).
  • Detect posting errors and inconsistencies; work with Accounting to correct root causes and strengthen closing controls and checklists.
  • Ensure management reporting is fully aligned with statutory accounting outputs, with clear reconciliation and consistent narratives.
  • Governance, Compliance, Audit Readiness & Senior Stakeholders
  • Act as finance governance gatekeeper under CFO direction: enforce policies, delegation of authority and budget discipline.
  • Maintain audit readiness and documentation standards; act as a counterpart to external/internal auditors and support finance-side responses.
  • Coordinate with the CFO and liaise with the CEO, GM, HQ and cross-functional leads to gather, consolidate and validate relevant information and insights.

Requirements

Experience & Background

  • 5-8 years of experience in controlling, FP&A, or business finance, with solid exposure to accounting and month-end close.
  • Proven experience in project-based environments (events, entertainment, construction, engineering, or similar).
  • Track record of consolidating unstructured data sources into reliable reporting and driving process improvements and internal controls.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders.

Hard Skills

  • Advanced Excel (data cleaning, pivots, structured models).
  • Strong ERP proficiency (NetSuite/Oracle preferred) and ability to work with complex project and cost center structures.
  • Solid accounting knowledge (IFRS basics a plus) including accruals, prepayments, cut-off, and reconciliations.
  • Strong documentation discipline and audit-trail mindset.

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Highly structured, proactive, hands-on, and resilient under tight deadlines.
  • Investigative mindset: enjoys finding root causes, correcting errors, and preventing recurrence.
  • Cultural adaptability to the KSA business environment.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on high-profile, international events and projects.
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and complex operational decision support.
  • Dynamic, multicultural environment and strong learning curve.
