What's the role

The position will support daytoday project accounting, financial reporting, and cost control activitiesgaining valuable realworld experience across accounts payable, receivables, capital expenditures, and project financials.

This role is ideal for recent graduates who are detailoriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a dynamic, international environment. This position will provide exposure to global marine operations and large-scale seismic projects while receiving hands-on training in ERP systems, project accounting, and financial controls along with the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across finance, operations, and offshore crews to build a strong foundation for future careers in accounting, financial analysis, project control, or operations finance. The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to experience other sub-departments within finance.

Key deliverables include:

Project Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Support full-cycle project accounting, including recording project transactions in the ERP system, estimating project progress, and preparing financial summaries
  • Process vendor and client invoices related to offshore seismic operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting for global operations.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

  • Raise customer invoices
  • Follow up with clients and partners on outstanding receivables to help ensure timely collections
  • Record and monitor prepayments, accruals, and financing activities related to seismic equipment and charter vessels

Cost Control & Analysis

  • Review expense reports from offshore teams and vessels to ensure budget alignment and identify opportunities for cost optimization
  • Contribute to variance analysis by comparing actual project costs against budgeted figures

Asset, Tax & Compliance Support

  • Assist in tracking fixed assets such as seismic nodes, streamers, and onboard systems
  • Help prepare tax filings and compliance documents across PXGEO's operating regions
  • Compile documentation for internal and external audits, including project cost breakdowns and operational data

Cash Flow & Monitoring

  • Support cash flow monitoring by reviewing project transactions and identifying inconsistencies or anomalies

Who are we looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification
  • Up to 2 years experience in accounting transactions and operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
  • Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in a multi-national company would be a plus
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Knowledge of Dynamics365 would be a plus
