The Group is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide investment advice across portfolio management, investment opportunity appraisal, market-making strategy, and offering and listing decisions. The role delivers in-depth financial analysis and data-driven recommendations that grow client and Group assets on a risk-adjusted basis and operates strictly within the license and authorities approved by the Qatar Financial Markets Authority.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain client investment plans: profile objectives, investment horizon, liquidity needs and risk tolerance; advise on asset allocation and suitable products; document the rationale for every recommendation; and review plans periodically against long-term goals.
- Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks, recommend rebalancing when required, review fees, liquidity and product suitability, and issue periodic reports to clients and management.
- Conduct fundamental analysis of financial statements, sectors, debt structures, cash flows and competitive positioning, and build DCF and multiples-based valuation models to estimate fair value.
- Source investment opportunities by tracking markets, news flow and promising sectors, and assess the feasibility, risk profile and fit of each opportunity to client objectives.
- Prepare investment memoranda covering the thesis, catalysts, valuation, risks and final recommendation; track positions after execution and revisit assumptions when conditions change.
- Measure risk-adjusted performance and produce attribution analysis across allocation, security selection, timing and fees, with clear recommendations for improvement.
- Advise on market-making strategies: give a technical view on pricing quality, liquidity and depth, monitor programme results, and coordinate with Trading and Compliance to refine the strategy.
- Support offering and listing mandates: advise on listing timing based on market conditions and issuer readiness, recommend pre-offering improvements to financial ratios, assess governance readiness, and contribute to the data room, due diligence, prospectus, valuation and pricing, and responses to regulator comments.
- Carry out all advisory activity in line with QFMA regulations and internal policy, observing information barriers, client confidentiality and conflict-of-interest requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investment or Accounting; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- [5–8] years of experience in asset, portfolio or wealth management, equity research, corporate finance advisory or investment banking.
- Strong command of accounting, financial analysis and capital markets, with a proven track record in financial modelling, valuation, opportunity appraisal and performance measurement.
- Eligibility to be registered and approved by the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, and completion of the two CISI certifications required by the QFMA within [12] months of appointment.
- CFA charter or active progress through the programme, and certifications in financial modelling and valuation, are preferred.
- Experience in the Qatari or wider GCC markets, including offerings and listings, is preferred.
- Advanced Excel and working proficiency with Bloomberg or an equivalent market data platform.
- Professional fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
- Analytical and strategic thinker, able to form a clear, data-based technical view and defend it before clients, investment committees and the board.
- High standards of integrity, discretion and regulatory awareness in handling confidential and price-sensitive information.
