Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in driving financial health and strategic growth within our organization. As a Finance Controller/Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as implementing robust financial controls to ensure compliance and accuracy in our financial statements.
1. Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze financial statements and ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance, variances, and trends, providing insights and recommendations.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and report on financial performance against targets.
- Support management in strategic planning through financial insights.
3. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls across all finance operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and tax regulations.
- Oversee audit activities, coordinate with external auditors, and implement audit recommendations.
4. Financial Operations Oversight
- Supervise daily accounting operations including payables, receivables, payroll, purchasing, and record-keeping.
- Ensure accuracy in vendor setup, invoice processing, and payment procedures.
- Validate functionality of accounting software and ensure compliance with company SOPs.
5. Financial Planning & Decision Support
- Evaluate investment opportunities using financial models and ROI analysis.
- Provide financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
6. Risk Management & Process Improvement
- Monitor financial processes to identify weaknesses and enhance control mechanisms.
- Ensure timely external reporting and regulatory filings.
- Recommend improvements to optimize finance department performance and resource allocation.
7. Audit & Governance
- Liaise with external auditors and respond to audit findings.
- Communicate key audit outcomes to management and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain transparency and accountability in all financial matters.
8. Policy & Reporting
- Assist management in developing and updating financial policies and procedures.
- Generate ad-hoc management reports and analysis as required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Number of audit findings and corrective action closure rate.
- Compliance rate with internal controls and policies.
- Cost savings or process efficiency improvements achieved.
- Timeliness of statutory filings and audit completion.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics ,BA (Master's or MBA is an advantage).
- Professional certification preferred: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CIA.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
