Job Purpose
To ensure the effectiveness of the organization's financial and accounting control system by reviewing and auditing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and approved accounting standards, and providing recommendations to improve financial performance and strengthen overall financial discipline.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and update financial and internal control procedures in line with organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting legislation and standards (IFRS / GAAP).
- Conduct periodic reviews of journal entries, expenses, revenues, receivables, assets, and liabilities.
- Follow up on bank reconciliations and audit closing accounts.
- Prepare analytical reports on financial control findings and present recommendations to senior management.
- Report financial violations and required corrective actions.
- Monitor the execution of the approved budget and analyze financial variances.
- Propose ways to improve spending efficiency and increase financial discipline.
- Review operations to ensure the effectiveness of cost control and minimize financial waste.
- Provide necessary support and reports to external auditors and government regulatory bodies.
- Implement observations and recommendations resulting from audit processes.
- Supervise the financial control team, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.
- Develop the team's professional skills through training and guidance.

Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance – Master's in Accounting or Business Administration preferred. CPA, CMA, or CIA preferred.
Required Experience
Minimum 7 years in accounting or financial control, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
Language
English – spoken and written.
