Job Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for developing a reliable financial flow in compliance with internal guidelines and procedures which monitors the achievements of the business objectives and provides stakeholders with relevant financial data for the decision making process.

Must have either (ACCA/CPA/CA qualification along with Financial Controller (3) years experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Governance

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of robust financial control frameworks across all entities within the Group.
  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Align financial operations and control environments with the organization's long-term strategic objectives and governance standards.
  • Drives P&L ownership with the head of production/operations working with an accountants and system controllers

Internal Control, Audit & Risk Management

  • Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans across key functions, including retail, supply chain, and commercial operations.
  • Identify control deficiencies and implement effective remediation strategies to strengthen financial integrity and resilience.
  • Ensure timely and disciplined implementation of internal audit recommendations across all business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to embed a culture of governance, risk awareness, and control discipline across the organization.

Revenue Assurance & Cost Control

  • Drive initiatives to identify and recover revenue leakages, while optimizing cost structures across procurement, IT, HR, and logistics functions.
  • Provide financial oversight of supplier relationships, ensuring commercial terms are aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Support and actively participate in pricing negotiations, benchmarking, and cost analysis to secure optimal commercial outcomes.

  • Evaluate supplier performance, pricing models, and contract compliance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.
  • Lead financial due diligence activities and provide analytical support for strategic decision-making and investment evaluations.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Standardize, streamline, and automate financial processes through the effective use of systems and digital tools.
  • Develop scalable frameworks that support efficient, compliant, and controlled financial operations.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives and promote intelligent automation within the finance function

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead, manage, and develop finance and audit teams across multiple entities, fostering a high-performance and accountability-driven culture.
  • Present key audit findings, financial insights, and risk assessments to the Board, Audit Committee, and senior leadership (C-suite).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and strategic vendors.

Reporting & KPI Management

  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and performance dashboards that provide transparency into financial performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA is mandatory.

Experience Profile:

  • Minimum 10 + years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong track record in financial management and control.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role such as Financial Controller or Finance Manager with plant accounting background in a large scale organization
  • At least 3 years SAP S4 Hana manufacturing hands on experience is a non-negotiable experience
  • Exposure in plant accounting is mandatory
  • Experienced in communicating numbers to finance and non-finance stakeholders

Industry Experience (Strongly Preferred)

  • FMCG / Consumer Goods
  • Retail / Distribution
  • Manufacturing with commercial orientation

Geographic Experience: Experience in UAE is mandatory

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and technical skills in financial analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of ERPs, MS Office, Advance level Excel
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Data mining Capabilities
  • Accounting concepts and knowledge of IFRS
