Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The expected tasks will be, but not limited to:
  • Preparation of financial statements and reporting as per the local laws and regulations
  • Perform local tax assessments, preparations, and reporting as per the local laws requirements and regulations
  • Manage the procedures, process controls, and account management for the business capital funding and loan agreements
  • Build and manage banking relationships for the business across local and international banks
  • Perform financial analytical reviews, revenue and budget management, and business financial reporting with internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with external auditors or internally with compliance/audit functions where needed
  • Take the lead on any finance-related functional requirements
  • Good understanding of crypto accounting and regulatory reporting requirements of VARA, SCA, and ADGM
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare pricing analysis for the management to make timely decision on product pricing
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports to provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, including preparing and submitting reports to regulatory authorities, including FATCA/CRS
  • Help management identify areas of business and operations improvement to bring efficiency to the processes
  • Supervise the banking payments, payable, receivable, and reconciliations
  • Preparation of cash forecast and periodic review of actual vs forecasted numbers
  • Identify the risks to the business and propose solutions to the management to mitigate the risks
  • Analyze market trends and competitors

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in accounting/finance/economics/business administration is a must
  • Great knowledge of local accounting (ACCA/ACA is a plus)
  • 6+ years experience in a relevant position in the financial or banking industry, fund management firms, trading firms, crypto firms, treasury/liquidity function or similar
  • Familiar with local laws and regulations of the financial and trading industry
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of accounting software, payroll procedures, and management systems
  • Independent, self-motivated, and have the spirit to expand the financial function of the business
  • Advanced working knowledge of Google Sheets and MS Excel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to stick to time constraints and deliver exceptional results
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively with a global team across three continents
