Job Description

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing financial control, reporting accuracy, compliance, and cost management. The role supports senior management by providing reliable financial insights, ensuring robust financial governance, and safeguarding the company's financial integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and control financial operations including the preparation, analysis, and submission of accurate financial reports and statements.
  • Monitor the company's financial performance by analysing trends, variances, and key financial indicators to assess overall financial health.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial records through effective internal controls, policies, and procedures in line with statutory and company requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and ensure compliance with tax, audit, and financial reporting standards.
  • Support cash flow management, forecasting, and working capital optimisation to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis, reports, and recommendations to senior management to support informed business decisions.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate financial submissions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial systems, documentation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and control of annual budgets, including variance analysis and cost-control initiatives.
  • Participate in financial risk assessment and mitigation activities to protect the company's assets and resources.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit findings.
  • Contribute to long-term financial planning through data-driven forecasts and financial projections.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CA/ ACA/ CMA, or ACCA is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial control, accounting, or financial analysis roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal controls.
