Role Summary
Owns the integrity of the company's financial reporting and control environment as it scales. Leads the close, builds the controls and reporting infrastructure an investment-ready growth-stage business needs, and develops the controlling team's technical and digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements.
- Design and enforce the internal control framework, accounting policies and approval workflows across entities.
- Lead tax & audit readiness and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
- Manage the quarterly & annual tax filing and transfer pricing across 5 jurisdictions.
- Build and mentor the accounting and controlling team, raising both technical and AI/automation capability.
- Drive automation of close, reconciliation and reporting processes, deploying AI tools to reduce cycle time and error.
Qualifications
- 6-7 years in controlling, audit or accounting, including a leadership role; growth-stage or scale-up exposure preferred.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent) and strong IFRS knowledge.
- Proven ownership of a full close cycle and audit, with experience standing up controls in a scaling business across 5+ markets.
- Advanced Excel and hands-on ERP experience; comfort with finance automation tooling.
AI Requirement
AI literacy is mandatory for this role. Hands-on proficiency with Claude Cowork (using AI agents to draft, analyse, reconcile and automate routine finance work) is highly preferred.
