Role Summary

We are looking for a Financial Data Specialist at Abwab.ai to play a key role in our AI-powered underwriting engine. This person will ensure high-quality annotation of financial and transactional data, enabling our machine learning models to make accurate credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Annotate bank statements, financial statements, and financial reports
• Verify the accuracy of generated reports
• Complete annotation tasks on time
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to improve annotation tools and processes

Requirements

• 1+ years working with financial data (bank statements, transaction histories, accounting documents)
• Read and understand Arabic and English
• Excel in team-oriented environments
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data work
• Strong communication skills: able to document annotation guidelines clearly and explain them to the team
• Proficient with spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel)
• Comfortable working across data science, product, and engineering teams
• Ownership: take full responsibility for annotation quality and output
• Problem-solving mindset: identify annotation issues and suggest improvements
• Strong time management: manage annotation projects, deadlines, and team tasks effectively
• Based in Egypt
