Finance Director | UAE-Based Group (Operations across UAE, KSA & the Middle East)
Our client, a diversified local group with operations in the UAE, KSA, and across the Middle East, is seeking a Finance Director to lead and strengthen their financial operations. This is a pivotal leadership role within a growing organisation, requiring a technically strong and proactive finance professional to oversee regional financial performance and guide a high-performing team.
The Role
Reporting to the Group CFO, you will oversee all aspects of the finance function; financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and cash flow management. You'll play a key role in optimising financial processes across multiple countries, projects, and business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the group.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports in line with IFRS and local regulations.
- Oversee project-based financial control and performance tracking.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Drive the implementation of an ERP system to enhance reporting and efficiency.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including transfer pricing.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to foster excellence and accountability.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external financial partners.
- Oversee payroll and drive process automation initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of finance experience, with significant exposure to project-based or multi-entity environments.
- Proven experience working in both the UAE and KSA, with a strong understanding of regional financial and tax regulations.
- Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA) or equivalent qualification.
- Background in Big 4 or reputable mid-tier audit firm, followed by 5+ years of senior industry experience.
- Strong technical expertise in IFRS and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach and ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
