About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting, Reporting & Control to lead the organisation's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control as it scales in Saudi Arabia.
This is a critical senior leadership role, ideally suited to a finance professional with deep experience in large, complex, multi-entity organisations, including oversight of subsidiary businesses. The role will play a central part in establishing robust financial governance, high-quality reporting, and strong control frameworks aligned with international best practice.
The position will be instrumental in building a major new organisation in KSA, supporting sustainable growth and alignment with Vision 2030 objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations, including period end close, general ledger, and consolidation across multiple entities and subsidiaries.
- Establish high quality, timely, and accurate financial close processes in a complex organisational environment.
- Ensure consistency of accounting policies across all business units and subsidiary companies.
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements at group and subsidiary level.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with local regulatory requirements in KSA, and group reporting standards.
- Deliver clear, insightful management and statutory reporting to executive leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure strong compliance with corporate governance standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, regulators, and advisors.
- Lead statutory audits and manage relationships with external audit firms, ideally leveraging prior Big 4 experience.
- Support audit committees with clear reporting on financial risks, controls, and compliance matters.
- Oversee accounting and reporting activities across subsidiary businesses, ensuring alignment with group standards and timelines.
- Support the integration of new entities, joint ventures, or acquisitions into the group reporting and control framework.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- 15+ years progressive experience in accounting, financial control, or audit, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong technical grounding in IFRS, consolidations, and complex group structures.
- Extensive experience in large, complex organisations with subsidiary structures.
- Big 4 background strongly preferred, particularly in audit or accounting advisory roles.
- Confident communicator with experience engaging senior executives, Boards, and Audit Committees.
