The Opportunity
We are a fast-growing, multi-entity group operating across Kuwait and the GCC — with significant operational scale, high transaction volumes, and real cross-border complexity.
We are seeking a Finance Director to take full ownership of financial strategy, governance, and performance across the group — and to build a finance function that matches the ambition of the business.
This is a principal-level role with direct access to the Group Chairman.
You will be the most senior finance professional in the group — not a manager of reports, but a builder of capability.
What You Will Own
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Own group-level financial strategy, planning, and capital allocation
- Act as the primary financial advisor to the Chairman on all key decisions
- Translate complex, multi-entity performance into clear, actionable insight
Governance, Controls & Discipline
- Build and enforce a strong financial controls framework across all entities
- Drive disciplined close cycles, variance analysis, and forward-looking MIS
- Elevate finance to institutional-grade governance and reporting standards
Performance & Commercial Impact
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and working capital management
- Improve margins, cost structures, and operational efficiency
- Develop financial models that support growth, expansion, and investment decisions
Transformation & Team Leadership
- Lead ERP optimization, automation, and systems integration
- Build and develop a high-performing team (15+ professionals)
- Establish a finance function that scales with the business
What We're Looking For
Non-Negotiable
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership
- Proven experience leading group-level or multi-entity finance functions
- Strong background in controls, governance, and reporting discipline
- Experience managing large finance teams (15+)
- Currently based in Kuwait (mandatory requirement)
Preferred
- Experience in high-volume environments (retail, FMCG, trading, or similar)
- GCC multi-country exposure
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, etc.)
- Big4 background or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA)
- Exposure to structured, institutional-level reporting environments
