Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Accountant role located in Alexandria, Egypt. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing. The role includes overseeing financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and monitoring cash flow and cost structures to support business decisions. The Financial Accountant will use accounting software to record transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain compliance with local and international accounting standards. This position collaborates closely with operations, procurement, and management teams to provide financial insights, support audits, and improve internal controls and financial processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Finance and Analytical Skills to support project costing, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for at least seven to ten years to ensure accurate and timely management information.
- Candidates should possess previous experience at working with construction companies for at least four years.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Accounting Software and related digital tools for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Residence in Alexandria is a MUST
