JOB PURPOSE
The financial reporting lead will be responsible for the accurate, compliant, and transparent preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial information, including creating financial statements and providing insights to stakeholders. This role ensures adherence to internal controls and international financial accounting standards.
Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, Dip. IFR is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- SAP is a plus.
Experience
- 5-7 Years of experience.
- Experience in Retail industry is a plus
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other reports that summarize a company's financial position and performance.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Analyzing trends, identifying variances, and assessing the company's financial health.
- Adhering to accounting standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in the month-end / year-end closing review and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Conduct post-close reviews to identify and address recurring issues or bottlenecks in the reporting cycle.
- Providing information and documentation to external auditors during audits.
- Preparing reports and presentations for management, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Creating and maintaining financial reporting procedures and controls.
- Maintain chart of accounts and reporting hierarchies in alignment with global accounting structures.
- Support the development and implementation of new accounting policies or changes in standards.
