About the Role
The Finishing Foreman (Civil) is responsible for supervising and coordinating all civil and architectural finishing activities on construction sites. The role ensures that all finishing works are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards for villa and high-rise building projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute all civil finishing works, including plastering, screeding, block work, tiling, marble, granite, waterproofing, gypsum works, painting, joinery, aluminum, glazing, ceilings, and external finishes.
- Plan and assign daily work activities to site labor and subcontractors.
- Ensure all finishing works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, QA/QC Engineers, MEP teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor daily progress and report work status to the Site Engineer.
- Inspect completed works and rectify defects before consultant inspections and project handover.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, equipment, and manpower while minimizing wastage.
- Maintain site safety standards and ensure all workers follow company HSE requirements.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and monitor housekeeping at the work area.
- Assist in material planning, site measurements, and quantity verification.
- Ensure snagging works are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil Finishing Foreman in villa and high-rise building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil finishing activities, construction methods, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
