Role Description (Local Hire Only) The Fire Alarm Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. In this position, the technician installs, tests, and commissions fire alarm and related low-voltage life safety systems in accordance with company standards and local regulations. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and documenting service activities and test results. The role involves responding to service calls, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring systems remain fully operational and compliant. The technician also interacts with clients on-site, explaining system functions, providing basic user training, and delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Technical skills in Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems for installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Strong Troubleshooting abilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve system faults and performance issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of Life Safety standards and practices, including relevant codes and regulations for fire protection systems.
• Effective Customer Service skills to interact with clients on-site, address concerns, and communicate technical information clearly.
• Relevant technical diploma, certification, or vocational training in electrical, electronics, or fire alarm systems.
• Experience working with fire alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and related safety equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
• Attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and ability to work independently or as part of a field team.
• Willingness to work on-site across various client locations in Doha and respond to urgent service requirements.
