Fit-out Senior QA/QC Engineer

Role Description:

To implement and manage Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems on interior fit-out projects, ensuring all site works, materials, and installations comply with project specifications, approved drawings, authority requirements, and company QA/QC procedures.

Responsibilities:

Site Quality Control

• Monitor all site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

• Conduct regular inspections for:

o Interior finishes (painting, flooring, ceilings)

o Joinery installation and fixtures

o Partition and drywall systems

• Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Inspection & Testing

• Prepare and conduct inspections with consultants and client representatives (IRs, MIRs).

• Ensure proper documentation of inspection results.

• Verify workmanship quality at every stage of installation.

Material Quality Control

• Check and verify incoming materials against approved submittals.

• Coordinate with Material Engineers and Procurement for compliance verification.

• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials on site.

Documentation & QA/QC Systems

• Maintain QA/QC records including:

o Inspection Requests (IRs)

o Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)

o Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)

o Snag lists and close-out records

• Ensure all documentation complies with ISO quality management systems.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and subcontractors for quality compliance.

• Attend site inspections and coordination meetings with consultants.

• Provide technical guidance to resolve quality-related issues.

Snagging & Handover

• Lead snagging and de-snagging activities before project handover.

• Ensure all defects are rectified and closed.

• Support preparation of handover documentation and final quality dossiers.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify recurring quality issues and propose preventive actions.

• Support improvement of QA/QC procedures and checklists.

• Promote quality awareness among site teams.
