Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fitout Foreman with at least 5 years of UAE experience specializing in high-rise construction fitout and interiors, preferably with contracting companies. The successful candidate will oversee all on-site fitout activities, ensuring top quality workmanship and strict adherence to safety standards on major high-rise interior finishing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily fitout/interior site activities for high-rise projects
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities to work crews and subcontractors, targeting efficient resource allocation for all trades (partitions, ceilings, joinery, finishing, MEP coordination, etc.)
- Interpret and implement shop drawings, fitout plans, and client specifications
- Monitor project progress, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within quality and budget parameters
- Enforce strict compliance with all safety protocols and interior finishing quality standards
- Oversee the use, storage, and maintenance of fitout materials, tools, and equipment
- Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and address any site non-compliance or incidents
- Prepare schedules, monitor workforce attendance, and maintain daily site records
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, MEP supervisors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth fitout execution
- Resolve site issues promptly to minimize any delays
- Report project progress and site matters to higher management and participate in regular project meetings
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years UAE experience as a Foreman in high-rise fitout/interior finishing (contracting companies preferred)
- Proven ability to supervise large, multi-disciplinary teams (carpentry, partition, ceiling, painting, MEP finishing, joinery, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret fitout drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
- In-depth knowledge of interior fitout standards, materials, and modern finishing techniques
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and UAE regulations for the fitout sector
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple fitout tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or equivalent preferred
- Good spoken and written English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
