Fixed Asset Accountant

With our footprint continuing to expand, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant.

Fixed Asset Accountant

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Are you passionate about fixed asset accounting and eager to make a difference in a global business Join our team as Fixed Asset Accountant, where you will support the accuracy, compliance, and reporting of the Group's fixed assets in line with policy and IFRS standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the capital expenditure approval process in accordance with company policy
• Collaborate with Operations, Regional Finance, and Maintenance teams on capital expenditure matters
• Accurately and promptly record fixed assets into the ERP system
• Maintain the Group Fixed Asset Register in line with company guidelines
• Process month-end fixed asset closings per group timetable
• Conduct periodic asset verification checks with auditors
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of fixed asset data
• Assist in the preparation of monthly capital expenditure reports for the Board
• Support the development of the Group's annual capital expenditure budget
• Contribute to the implementation of the fixed asset module in the new ERP system
• Assist with special finance and asset-related projects as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• Part-qualified in accounting (CPA/CA/ACCA)
• Minimum of 35 years experience in fixed asset accounting
• Familiarity with IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment and IFRS standards
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics/ACCPAC preferred)
• High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English (French a plus)
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Flexible approach, with the willingness to work outside normal hours if required
