Job Summary:
The Fleet Logistic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a company's fleet of vehicles, managing schedules, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the smooth transportation of goods or personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Operations and dispatch: Schedule and dispatch drivers, plan routes for timely and efficient deliveries, and monitor daily fleet operations to meet performance goals.
- Vehicle maintenance and compliance: Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs, conduct routine checks, and ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Driver management: Supervise driver performance, provide guidance on schedules and safety, and maintain open communication to resolve issues.
- Record keeping and reporting: Maintain detailed records of all fleet activities, fuel consumption, maintenance, and incidents. Generate reports on performance, costs, and vehicle movements for management.
- Cost and resource management: Monitor fuel consumption, manage maintenance expenses, generate purchase requests, and help optimize fleet utilization.
- Communication: Act as the communication bridge for logistics challenges and serve as the primary point of contact for vehicle-related issues.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field like logistics or transportation management is often preferred, though a high school diploma with experience may also be considered.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in fleet management in KSA.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in fleet management software (TMS, ERP), GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook) are essential.
- Language: Professional-level English is essential, with conversational Arabic & Hindi.
- Essential skills: Strong planning, communication, time management, organization, and safety awareness are critical
