Fleet Manager – FMCG & Logistics
Job Description
A leading UAE-based food manufacturing and grain processing organization is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations across Ajman, Fujairah, and Sharjah.
This role is responsible for managing vehicles, drivers, route optimization, cost control, safety compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor transportation and delivery schedules to ensure timely product delivery
- Oversee daily fleet operations including trucks, vans, and logistics vehicles
- Optimize routing to minimize fuel consumption and transit time
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards (licenses, permits, inspections)
- Enforce safety protocols and investigate incidents
- Manage fleet-related expenses including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Hire, train, and manage drivers; monitor performance and provide feedback
- Ensure RTA compliance and maintain accurate fleet records
- Prepare performance and cost reports for senior management
- Implement fleet management software and GPS tracking systems
- Stay updated on fleet technology innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of fleet management experience, preferably in FMCG
- Experience managing large fleets and external service providers
- UAE logistics experience is a strong advantage
