Summary:
The Fleet Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities related to the project's vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal utilization, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role includes maintenance oversight, vehicle tracking, procurement support, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the project fleet, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and safe for use.
- Coordinate vehicle procurement, registration, and licensing in compliance with local regulations.
- Monitor fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules to optimize costs.
- Maintain accurate fleet records, including insurance, permits, and service history.
- Ensure compliance with road safety and local transport regulations.
- Liaise with vendors, service providers, and insurance companies regarding fleet services and claims.
- Support fleet budgeting and reporting, including forecasting maintenance and operational costs.
- Manage vehicle allocation to staff and departments based on operational needs.
- Implement fleet policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in fleet management.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet management systems, and road safety regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software.
- Experience in large corporate or utility sectors.
