Job Summary
The Fleet Support & IoT Engineer supports Mowasalat's vision of delivering safe, sustainable, and technology‑driven transport solutions by designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced IoT solutions and fleet support systems. The role focuses on optimizing fleet operations, improving safety, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring seamless integration of emerging technologies with existing infrastructure. The Engineer works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across fleet and training operations.
Key Responsibilities
IoT Solution Development & Implementation
- Design, develop, and implement IoT solutions to optimize fleet operations, improve safety, and enhance customer experience.
- Ensure seamless integration of IoT systems with existing infrastructure, applications, and platforms.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems supporting the Karwa Academy learning and operational environment.
- Develop and customize software solutions, including application integration and digital platforms, to improve operational effectiveness.
Fleet Support System Maintenance & Optimization
- Maintain, monitor, and support fleet management and fleet support systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Manage and optimize fleet management systems for real‑time vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, diagnostics, and reporting.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance solutions for EV and CNG vehicle systems.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze IoT and fleet management system data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Identify and monitor fleet data trends specific to the Karwa Academy fleet.
- Develop and present regular technical and performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting KPIs, insights, and actionable recommendations.
Collaboration, Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including operations, maintenance, IT, and customer service to support fleet and IoT initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate and engage with external stakeholders such as suppliers, service providers, regulatory bodies, and traffic authorities.
- Promote Karwa Academy initiatives and technological capabilities to internal and external partners.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and contribute to the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and blockchain within fleet operations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in IoT and fleet support systems.
- Support continuous learning and professional development within the role.
Governance, Confidentiality & Compliance
- Ensure strict confidentiality and protection of Mowasalat's sensitive technical, operational, and data assets.
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and information security standards.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to meet operational and business requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IoT solutions, fleet support systems, or related roles, preferably within the transportation sector.
- 3–4 years of GCC experience in a similar or equivalent role within a reputable organization.
Certifications & Training (Preferred)
- Certified IoT Developer (CIoTD)
- Certified Fleet Manager (CFM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
