Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, plan and coordinate the workshop maintenance, fleet servicing and maintenance activities, including

managing and allocating project resources to ensure agreed time, quality, safety and environmental targets are met.

  • Supervise and ensure that the subcontractors employed to support the repair activities in the workshop carry out their tasks efficiently as per EKFC standards without causing any disruptions to the overall workshop operations.
  • Control the Workshop Order Management in ERP, record the allocation of jobs, monitor timely, cost effective repairs to ensure timely completion of the tasks and facilitate accurate Fleet maintenance records.
  • Provide advice, direction and regular feedback on workshop performance to motivate the workshop team and the outsourced team and ensure business continuity with minimum down time of vehicles.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and assist with solving complex mechanical and hydraulic problems, provide training and instruction to workshop personnel to enable them to perform the role efficiently and reduce the long stoppage of vehicles.
  • Facilitate the efficient delivery of mechanical and repair services through communication, negotiation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders and to manage stakeholder relations.
  • Review and understand the schematic diagrams, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams and work instructions for all recall / improvement campaigns in order to identify technical difficulties and ensure the equipment has been repaired and/or serviced on time in order to enable the smooth functioning of operations.
  • Provide recommendations on resources, productivity, work methods and associated costs in conjunction with the workshop staff to ensure business continuity and smooth functioning of the workshop.
  • Comply with all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to align as per standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or ITI/ITC (Industrial Training Institute) Certification or equivalent qualification -Trade test certificate
  • Valid UAE light duty license (must have)
  • Valid UAE heavy truck license (preferred)
