Job Description
FM Engineer (Facilities Management Engineer) typically includes responsibility for maintaining and operating building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP services.
Responsibilities
- Manage operation and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, BMS, generators, lifts, etc.)
- Plan and supervise preventive & corrective maintenance
- Monitor contractor and technician performance
- Ensure compliance with HSE and local regulations
- Handle breakdowns and emergency maintenance
- Prepare maintenance reports, checklists, and service schedules
- Monitor energy usage and cost-saving initiatives
- Coordinate with clients, tenants, and vendors
- Ensure SLA/KPI targets are achieved
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Usually 2–5+ years FM experience
- UAE/GCC experience preferred for Gulf jobs
- Driving license often preferred in UAE
