The project:

As Facilities Manager, you will take full responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and performance of all project facilities across the site. This includes welfare buildings, utilities, accommodation zones, and temporary infrastructure. You will ensure that facilities are safe, compliant, cost effective, and capable of supporting the high pace of construction delivery.
This role suits someone with strong operational control, excellent stakeholder coordination, and experience managing facilities in challenging or remote environments.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the operation and maintenance of all project facilities, including utilities, welfare units, accommodation and support services.
  • Develop and implement facilities management plans, schedules, and performance standards.
  • Manage hard and soft FM services including cleaning, security, catering, water, power, HVAC, waste management and essential support services.
  • Oversee inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Ensure compliance with Mace HSW standards, local regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage FM subcontractors, service providers, and suppliers, ensuring quality and contractual compliance.
  • Maintain FM budgets, procurement activities, service contracts and cost forecasts.
  • Lead incident management, emergency response planning, and business continuity for facilities.
  • Promote sustainability, resource efficiency, and responsible facilities operations across site.

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 15 years experience as a Facilities Manager/Lead on Major Construction programmes, remote project experience an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of hard and soft FM services, asset management, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing large accomodation facilities, utilities infrastructure, and high demand operational environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder coordination and contractor management skills.
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate FM teams across multiple service lines.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement.
  • Deep commitment to health, safety and wellbeing performance.
  • Strong organisational abilities with a proactive, problem solving mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote or challenging environments.
  • Clear communication skills with a collaborative approach to delivery.
