Job Title: Food & Beverage Captain
Location: Abu Dhabi
Purpose and Scope of Position:
The F&B Captain will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the food and beverage service in the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of waitstaff to deliver a seamless dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the F&B service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Greet and assist guests with their dining needs, including guiding them through menu choices and special requests.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the dining area, ensuring all equipment is in working condition.
- Monitor and maintain service standards for quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the F&B area.
- Train, mentor, and support new staff, ensuring that all team members meet performance expectations.
- Manage customer feedback and resolve complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and manage reports related to food and beverage service, including inventory and sales.
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations, including opening/closing duties, and managing the floor during peak times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in F&B service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service techniques and menu knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the F&B industry.
- Ability to handle customer complaints effectively and professionally.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
