Role Description The Foreign Purchasing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in 10th of Ramadan. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end foreign purchasing activities, including sourcing international suppliers, requesting and reviewing quotations, and negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. The specialist prepares and processes purchase orders, coordinates with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery, and monitors inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock. Daily tasks also include tracking shipment status, verifying documentation for customs clearance, and maintaining accurate purchasing records and reports. The role collaborates closely with finance, production, and quality teams to ensure cost-effective procurement, vendor compliance, and alignment with FTN's quality and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Purchasing Processes, Purchasing, and Purchase Orders to manage day-to-day procurement operations effectively.
  • Candidates should possess Purchase Management skills to oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize purchasing strategies.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to evaluate pricing, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Relevant qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in foreign purchasing, international trade, or import/export within a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and ERP or purchasing systems, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Arabic (written and verbal), with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and international suppliers.
  • Ability to work on-site in 10th of Ramadan, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
