Zahr Freighters is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to support its warehouse and freight operations in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely, moving and arranging goods, loading and unloading shipments, and assisting warehouse teams with material handling. Careful equipment operation, attention to safety procedures, and responsibility are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely for the movement, loading, and unloading of goods and materials.
• Load and unload freight shipments, pallets, containers, and warehouse materials.
• Transport goods between receiving, storage, staging, and dispatch areas.
• Stack and arrange materials securely in designated warehouse locations.
• Inspect the forklift before each shift and report mechanical or safety issues.
• Follow approved operating procedures and workplace safety regulations.
• Check loads carefully to ensure they are balanced and safely positioned.
• Assist warehouse staff with receiving, picking, staging, and dispatch activities.
• Verify labels and shipment information before moving goods.
• Maintain safe operating distances from employees, vehicles, racks, and other equipment.
• Report damaged goods, unstable loads, or warehouse hazards to the supervisor.
• Keep the forklift clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with basic daily equipment inspection and maintenance checks.
• Follow proper procedures for handling fragile, heavy, and sensitive materials.
• Maintain awareness of warehouse traffic routes and designated forklift areas.
• Coordinate with warehouse supervisors, storekeepers, drivers, and logistics staff.
• Maintain accurate movement or loading records when required.
• Follow PPE, health, and safety requirements at all times.
• Participate in warehouse housekeeping and ensure work areas remain clear.
• Perform other material-handling duties assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse, freight, logistics, or distribution environment is preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification or relevant operating authorization.
• Experience handling pallets, cargo, containers, and warehouse materials.
• Good understanding of forklift safety procedures and warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts carefully in confined and busy warehouse areas.
• Physically fit and capable of handling demanding warehouse activities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong awareness of workplace hazards and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible approach to work.
• Ability to follow instructions and company operating procedures.
