If you are ready to be part of the team shaping Dubai's skyline, your future starts here.

As a Foreman – Jumpform, you will be responsible for supervising the safe and efficient operation of electrically operated automatic climbing formwork systems, including the automatic climbing system developed by Azizi. The role will also involve hydraulic and crane-supported climbing systems supplied by established formwork companies such as PERI, Doka, or similar suppliers, along with the supervision of other formwork activities on site. You will ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assign trained personnel and control access to climbing systems and operating controls.
  • Ensure anchors, cones, and embedded items are correctly installed at approved locations, orientations, and tolerances.
  • Verify anchor fixing, concrete condition, and documented concrete-strength approval before connecting or loading the climbing system.
  • Inspect rails, brackets, platforms, drives, guides, ties, shutters, access routes, and edge protection before each climbing operation.
  • Check control panels, motors, limit switches, sensors, interlocks, alarms, and emergency-stop functions before operation.
  • Complete required pre-climb checklists, permits, and authorizations before every climbing cycle.
  • Confirm that loads are safely transferred, obstructions are removed, and the system is released in the approved sequence.
  • Maintain synchronized movement and monitor alignment, unusual noise, overload, and uneven travel during climbing operations.
  • Immediately stop climbing operations if any unsafe or abnormal condition is identified.
  • Establish exclusion zones, observe applicable weather restrictions, and maintain clear communication throughout climbing operations.
  • Record climbing activities, inspections, defects, and corrective actions, and coordinate maintenance and reinspection of faulty equipment.
  • Plan and supervise the safe erection, use, and dismantling of wall, column, slab, beam, and other formwork systems.
  • Manage manpower, materials, workmanship, quality, and productivity targets for formwork activities.
  • Monitor progress and report delays, incidents, technical deviations, and other site issues to the Project Engineer / Formwork Engineering Manager.
  • Coordinate with Structural and Design Engineers regarding design revisions, site changes, and technical issues.
  • Ensure all formwork activities comply with approved method statements, operating procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Secondary School / ITI / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant formwork experience.
  • Minimum 30 years of age.
  • Strong understanding of formwork systems and construction methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automatic climbing, jumpform, hydraulic climbing, or crane-supported climbing systems.
  • Experience with PERI, Doka, or similar formwork systems is an added advantage.
  • Training or practical experience in hydraulic climbing systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand structural, architectural, and temporary works drawings.
  • Knowledge of conventional and modular formwork systems.
  • Strong leadership and crew coordination skills.
  • Good safety awareness and ability to enforce safe working practices.
