Forward Deployed AI Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Delivery Ownership

• Work directly with client business and operations leaders to elicit requirements, challenge assumptions, and translate ambiguous business problems into practical, scoped AI solutions.

• Run discovery sessions, demos, and progress reviews with technical and non-technical audiences, in Arabic and English.

• Own delivery end-to-end for assigned initiatives: scope, build, deploy, adopt. Escalate risks early rather than absorbing them silently.

• Author client-facing documentation: solution designs, technical proposals, PoC reports, and compliance material.

Engineering

• Deploy, configure, and customize LLM solutions, RAG assistants, agentic workflows, and on-premise inference using technologies such as vLLM, Gemma, and Qwen.

• Design and build AI-powered internal tools and client-facing applications using LangGraph, FastAPI, Streamlit, React, and automation frameworks.

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting AI and computer vision workloads.

• Customize computer vision models and workflows to client-specific business requirements.

• Integrate AI applications with enterprise platforms, APIs, MCP servers, and third-party services.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain deployed AI systems in production, including on-premise and GPU environments.

• Collaborate with Duroob software engineers, product managers, and solution architects, and contribute reusable patterns back to the wider team.

• • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and engineering best practices, and bring relevant ones to the client proactively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 3-4 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years building and shipping AI/LLM-based systems.

• Prior experience working directly with clients, business stakeholders, or as a consultant / solutions engineer is a plus.

• Strong programming skills in Python.

• Working knowledge of modern JavaScript and React for building front-ends and internal tools.

• Experience integrating REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party services.

• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Executive presence: able to present work clearly and confidently to senior, non-technical stakeholders and answer hard questions without defensiveness.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new frameworks and APIs quickly.

• Business fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English — both spoken and written.

• Comfortable with fast-paced environments, evolving priorities, and ambiguous requirements.
