The Founder - Accountant Firm focuses on clients, advisory leadership, and firm credibility, while the Venture Studio enables scale.
Role Description:
You will be responsible for building accounting frameworks from the ground up, developing scalable financial processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting and insights. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in evolving business environments and has strong experience setting up accounting infrastructure during early or growth stages of an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Function, development & Process Setup:
- Design, establish, and implement accounting operations from initial setup to scalable business functions
- Develop standardized accounting policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with regulatory and operational requirements
- Build financial reporting frameworks to support internal and external stakeholders
- Establish internal control structures to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance
- Create structured workflows for accounting, reconciliation, and reporting activities
- Identify gaps in financial processes and implement effective, scalable solutions
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and oversee account reconciliations
- Develop and monitor accounting governance and financial control procedures
- Manage regulatory reporting and documentation requirements
- Support preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors
Operational Accounting Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking
- Ensure proper revenue recognition, cost allocation, and expense management practices
- Monitor accounting data integrity and resolve complex accounting issues
- Support system improvements and automation of accounting processes
- Evaluate and implement accounting software, ERP systems, and reporting tools as required
Strategic and Business Support:
- Partner with leadership to support business planning, financial forecasting, and budgeting activities
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Support financial due diligence, investor reporting, and growth planning initiatives
- Monitor financial performance trends and provide actionable recommendations

Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred
- Strong experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, or professional accounting services
- Demonstrated experience building accounting processes, reporting frameworks, and internal controls from scratch
