Job Description
[TW] Every 40 seconds, someone in the world dies by suicide.
But long before that moment, there are often hundreds of smaller moments.
A night when you can't sleep.
A breakup.
Anxiety before work.
The feeling that you're losing control.
Or simply a moment when you need someone to talk to and nobody is there.
We believe there should always be someone there. Someone you can talk to at 2:37 in the morning.
That's what we're building: a voice-first AI companion for mental health and personal development, available to anyone, anywhere.
And we're looking for a Founder's Associate Intern to help build the company from zero.
This is not a traditional internship.
You'll work directly with the founder across some of the most important questions of an early-stage AI company: from fundraising and partnerships to hiring, enterprise sales and strategy.
What you'll work onResearch & Strategy
Deep-dive into new markets, competitors, technologies and business models. Turn messy information into clear recommendations that help us make better decisions, faster.
Partnerships
Identify, approach and develop relationships with universities, researchers, foundations, donors, celebrities and other organizations that can help us scale our impact.
Fundraising
Get first-hand exposure to how an AI startup raises money. Research investors and alternative funding sources, prepare materials, support outreach and help us generate funding for the company.
Hiring
Help us find exceptional engineers, researchers and operators. Source candidates, evaluate profiles and support the founder throughout the hiring process.
Enterprise Sales
Help build our B2B motion from scratch. Research target companies, support outreach and learn how to sell a completely new AI product into large corporations.
Whatever matters most
This is a zero-to-one startup. Your job will change. If something important needs to get done, you help figure out how to make it happen.
Who we're looking forYour degree doesn't matter. Your university doesn't matter. Your field of study doesn't matter.
Your brain and your attitude do.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is exceptionally sharp and learns extremely fast
- Can enter a completely new topic and understand it within hours, not weeks
- Is highly analytical and excellent at research
- Works fast without becoming sloppy
- Has extremely high standards for their own work
- Takes ownership instead of waiting for instructions
- Is resourceful, when you don't know something, you figure it out
- Is comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Is willing to work hard when the mission requires it
- Is genuinely excited about AI and building something from zero
- Has C1+ / business-fluent English
- Is deeply committed to the role, not looking for something to casually add to their CV
We care much more about raw intelligence, speed, ownership and work ethic than credentials.
Why this might be the most valuable internship you can doYou'll work directly as the right hand to the founder, a former SAP executive who has built and scaled software businesses across the German-speaking market.
You won't spend your internship preparing PowerPoints nobody reads.
You'll see how an AI company is actually built from the inside:
How do you go from an idea to a product
How do you recruit exceptional people
How do you raise the first money
How do you convince universities, companies and influential people to work with you
How do you sell something that didn't exist a year ago
How do you make decisions when there is no playbook
You'll be working at the frontier of AI, voice technology and digital mental health, while the next generation of AI products is being defined.
If you eventually want to build your own company, join an early-stage startup or work at the frontier of AI, it's hard to get closer to the action than this.
The setupRole: Founder's Associate Intern
Stage: Early-stage / zero-to-one
Language: English
Compensation: Unpaid internship
This role will be intense. It will be demanding. And you will probably learn more about building a startup in a few months than you would from years of studying it.
We're not looking for someone who wants to watch a startup being built.
We're looking for someone who wants to help build one.
