Fountain Designer

About the Role

We're hiring a Fountain Designer to create water features that blend engineering, aesthetics, and motion. You'll take projects from concept sketch to construction drawings for luxury hotels, malls, landscapes, and private villas.

Key Responsibilities

Concept & Design

Develop creative fountain concepts in 2D/3D based on client briefs, site conditions, and budgets

Create mood boards, renders, and animations to communicate design intent Integrate lighting, sound, and choreography for musical fountains

Technical Development

Produce detailed shop drawings, hydraulics schematics, and MEP coordination drawings in AutoCAD/Revit

Calculate water flow, pump sizing, nozzle performance, and filtration requirements

Ensure designs meet UAE building codes, safety standards, and DEWA regulations

Project Support

Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and suppliers

Conduct site visits to verify installations and troubleshoot issues

Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and technical submittals for approval

Innovation & Trends

Research new nozzle types, LED lighting, control systems, and water-saving tech

Keep a library of materials, finishes, and detailing standards

Education: Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Design

Experience: 3+ years designing fountains, water features, or similar landscape MEP elements

Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, or Lumion. Revit and hydraulic simulation tools are a plus

Portfolio: Must show built projects or high-quality concepts with technical drawings

Knowledge: Understanding of hydraulics, pumps, nozzles, filtration, and waterproofing

Mindset: Detail-obsessed, client-focused, comfortable balancing creative vision with buildability

Nice to Have

Experience with musical/dancing fountains and DMX control systems

Familiarity with Oasis, Hydroscan, or similar fountain design software

Project experience in GCC climate conditions
