The FP&A Associate's core responsibility is to review, validate, and quality-control that work, serve as the primary liaison between the international team and each client, and deliver

The Associate is the client's primary point of contact for all financial matters and is expected to operate with full ownership, professional judgment, and a high standard of delivery.

02 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 Client Portfolio Management

– Act as the single point of accountability for all 15 assigned clients.

– Manage the client relationship operationally, financially, and professionally.

– Serve as the primary liaison between the international bookkeeping team and each client —

coordinating, communicating, and resolving issues in both directions.

– Ensure all client deliverables are met on schedule and to the required standard.

– Proactively manage client expectations and flag any risks or escalations to the Finance Team Leader.

2.2 Review & Quality Control of Bookkeeping Work

– Review bookkeeping entries, journal postings, and reconciliations prepared by the international support

team for accuracy and completeness.

– Validate month-end close packages including trial balances, bank reconciliations, and general ledger

summaries before client delivery.

– Identify discrepancies, raise corrections, and confirm resolution prior to sign-off.

– Ensure all records are audit-ready and compliant with applicable accounting standards and UAE

regulatory requirements.

– Maintain version-controlled, organised client files across Ratio's document management system.

2.3 Financial Analysis & Reporting

– Prepare and deliver structured financial reporting packs on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual

basis for each client.

– Conduct variance analysis — actuals vs. budget and prior periods — with clear commentary on key

drivers.

– Perform cash flow analysis and highlight working capital trends, risks, and opportunities.

– Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, updating assumptions based on actual performance and

business context.

– Build scenario models to support client decision-making where required.

– Monitor KPIs and flag underperformance or anomalies proactively.

2.4 Client Meetings & Advisory Engagement

– Lead structured financial review meetings with each client on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and

annual cadence.

– Present financial results, variance commentary, forecasts, and recommendations in a clear and

professional manner.

– Translate financial data into business insight that clients can act on.

– Prepare meeting packs, agendas, and follow-up action logs for every client interaction.

– Build and maintain trusted advisory relationships with client management.

2.5 Budgeting & Forecasting

– Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with each client, aligned to their business objectives and

operating model.

– Develop rolling forecasts with updated assumptions based on actuals, market conditions, and client

input.

– Present budget and forecast outputs with clear assumptions and sensitivity analysis.

– Recommend corrective actions when performance deviates materially from plan.

2.6 Tax Compliance Oversight

– Oversee all tax compliance matters for assigned clients in coordination with the international support

team, including:

– VAT — return review, filing confirmation, and reconciliation.

– Corporate Tax (CT) — computation review, filing oversight, and compliance monitoring.

– Withholding tax obligations where applicable.

– Ensure timely FTA registrations, amendments, and filings — zero tolerance for penalties.

– Stay current on UAE tax legislation and brief clients on any material impact to their business.

2.7 Payroll & Payments Oversight

– Review monthly payroll calculations prepared by the support team for accuracy — salaries, allowances,

deductions, and EOSB in line with UAE Labour Law.

– Confirm WPS compliance prior to disbursement where applicable.

– Review and approve vendor payment runs on behalf of clients before processing.

– Liaise with client management on payroll queries and obtain approvals before disbursement.

2.8 Inventory Management Oversight
