Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Fractional Leader, based in Dubai with opportunities to work remotely. The Fractional Leader will guide strategic initiatives, support the growth of portfolio companies, and leverage regional and global networks to drive business impact. Responsibilities include advising startup founders, identifying market opportunities, coordinating partnerships with government entities and industrial stakeholders, and facilitating access to capital. The ideal candidate will also work closely with the team to ensure alignment with Mataana's mission of supporting resilient, scalable technologies.
Qualifications
- Leadership and strategic planning skills with experience guiding organizations through growth stages
- Expertise in business development, partnership management, and navigating regulatory or government relationships
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder engagement and presenting strategies
- Experience with investment strategy, startup ecosystems, or entrepreneurial ventures, particularly in Climate Tech or industrial sectors
- Ability to balance in-office presence in Dubai and remote work while maintaining high levels of collaboration
- Familiarity with resilience-focused technologies in sectors such as water, energy, or industrial infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
