Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Freelance Business Development Executive – Commission Based. The role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, particularly in exhibitions, conferences, cultural programs, and artistic events. The Business Development Executive will regularly reach out to potential clients, conduct online and virtual meetings, prepare proposals, and follow up to convert leads into contracts. Daily tasks include building and managing a pipeline of prospects, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and collaborating with the internal event management team to align offerings with client needs. The role is performance-driven, with compensation based on commissions linked to successful deal closures.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, and sales negotiation, with a proven ability to close deals on a commission basis.
• Experience in business development or account management within events, exhibitions, conferences, or related creative industries.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to conduct clear, professional remote meetings and pitches.
• Capability to manage a sales pipeline using CRM or similar tools, with solid organizational and time management skills.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting, with self-motivation and a results-oriented mindset.
• Understanding of event management processes and client requirements in both corporate and cultural sectors is highly beneficial.
• Prior freelance or commission-based work experience, and familiarity with regional market trends, is an advantage.
• Relevant education in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if experience is strong.
