Role Overview:
Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking an experienced Freelance E&I Inspector with strong exposure to Software Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities. The role involves inspecting, verifying, and witnessing FAT activities for Electrical & Instrumentation systems to ensure full compliance with project specifications, functional requirements, and client standards prior to system deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Witness and inspect Software FAT activities for Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
- Perform DCS software FAT application checks, verifying logic, control functions, alarms, and HMI graphics.
- Conduct ESD software FAT application checks, ensuring proper implementation of safety logic, shutdown sequences, interlocks, and cause & effect requirements.
- Execute comprehensive software FAT checks, including logic validation, alarm testing, sequence testing, and system integration checks.
- Verify FAT procedures, test scripts, and acceptance criteria against project specifications.
- Identify, record, and follow up on FAT punch items and non-conformances.
- Coordinate with vendors, engineering teams, and client representatives during FAT activities.
- Review and verify FAT reports, test records, and final acceptance documentation.
- Ensure all FAT activities comply with applicable standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an E&I Inspector on Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in Software FAT DCS application checks & Software FAT ESD application checks
- General software FAT verification and testing
- Good knowledge of E&I systems, automation workflows, and FAT best practices.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Must have UAE own/freelance visa.
