Freelance Videographer Museum Campaign

This role involves leading the cinematography for a signature 60–90 second film as part of a museum's pre-launch campaign on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The project requires an experienced Director of Photography to capture the museum site and its surroundings, crafting an art-documentary visual style tailored for an international contemporary art audience. The assignment includes two on-site shooting days, with a focus on architectural and cultural storytelling. The final deliverables will be used for social media promotion, and while editing is managed separately, post-production support may be proposed if available. The project is time-sensitive, with production expected within 3–4 weeks of approval and delivery required by mid-November. There is potential for future collaboration on similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of on-site cinematography for a 60–90 second signature film
• Capture high-quality footage of the museum and surrounding area, emphasizing architectural and cultural elements
• Collaborate with the creative team to achieve an art-documentary visual style
• Deliver a graded cut and raw B-roll suitable for social media cutdowns
• Ensure all footage meets technical and creative standards for international contemporary art audiences
• Adhere to project timelines and coordinate logistics for two on-site shooting days

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience as a Director of Photography or Cinematographer, ideally with work involving museums, architecture, or cultural institutions
• Strong portfolio demonstrating art-documentary or visually-driven storytelling
• Expertise in camera operation, lighting, and on-location production
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving project needs
• Familiarity with delivering footage for social media and digital campaigns
• Availability for on-site work in Abu Dhabi within the specified timeframe
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
