Job Description

[What this is]

OnePass Wedding is a Dubai wedding venue directory. Couples compare venues ranked by real Google reviews and send us one enquiry, and we take it to the venue.

We are taking on two freelance consultants for two different jobs. Tell us which one you are applying for. If you can do both, say so.

[Track A: Enquiry closer]

When an enquiry arrives, someone has to take it the rest of the way. It is not cold sales. The enquiry is already in the building.

• Contact the couple or their family on the day the enquiry arrives, by phone or WhatsApp, in Arabic or English.

• Confirm date, guest count, budget and the things that decide the venue: ladies-only or mixed, catering, planner and photographer needs.

• Get availability and a written quote from the venue they chose, and from two alternatives if it goes quiet.

• Put the options side by side so the family can decide, and arrange site visits.

• Before you introduce the couple to a venue, confirm our referral fee with the venue in writing. We give you the wording.

• Follow it through to a confirmed booking.

[Track B: Hotel partnerships]

Couples need somewhere to go, and hotels need to know us before the enquiry arrives.

• Reach wedding and banquet sales teams at Dubai hotels and get a first meeting.

• Agree a referral arrangement with them in writing: when a couple we introduce books, the hotel pays us a referral fee.

• Keep each hotel, contact and status up to date in our tool.

• You do not need to close couples. You open the doors the closers send couples through.

[How we work]

All contact with couples and venues runs through a OnePass Wedding WhatsApp number and email that we provide, not your personal phone. Every step is recorded in a tool we give you, and you see only the work assigned to you.

Volume, honestly

This is not a full-time desk. Enquiries arrive in bursts, not a steady stream, and we would rather say so now than have you find out in month two.

[What we pay]

Track A

• A fixed fee for each enquiry where you put real written quotes from at least two venues in front of the couple, paid whichever venue wins, so nobody is steered.

• A share of the fee we actually receive when a booking you handled is signed.

Track B

• A fixed bonus for each hotel that signs a referral agreement with us: half on signature, half when the first couple we introduce books there.

No retainer on either track. Figures are discussed directly. Everything is settled at the end of the month in which we receive the money, and that is written into the contract.

[You probably fit if]

• You are in Dubai with your own visa and permit to work.

• You have worked in or around weddings and events: venue coordination, hotel banquet sales, event production or similar.

• You want this as a second line, not a first job, and can be reached within a few working hours.

• For Track A: you speak Arabic and English (Hindi or Urdu is a plus), you know how venue pricing works here, and you have handled ladies-only or gender-separated celebrations.

• For Track B: you have sold to, or worked in, hotel banquet and events teams, and you can explain a referral fee plainly.

If you own, work for or earn commission from a wedding business in Dubai, tell us when you apply. It does not rule you out. It decides which enquiries and venues we give you.

You will not fit if you need a fixed monthly income from this, or you are looking for a first sales job. We are renting judgement here, not training it.

[How to apply]

Apply here, then send a message to this page with your track and your answer to its case.

Track A: A family enquired about a community wedding hall in Al Mizhar for 10 October: 80 guests, ladies-only, a budget of USD 30,000 to 50,000, and they also want a planner and a photographer. Their first message was only please call me. The hall has no website, answers only a landline, and has not replied to our email. The event is four weeks after the enquiry, and two of those weeks have already gone. What do you do, in what order, and what do you say on the first call

Track B: A five-star hotel in Business Bay takes wedding enquiries through its own website and a few agencies. Its wedding sales manager has never heard of us. Write the first message you would send to get a 20-minute meeting, and tell us what you would ask for in that meeting.

  • The answer tells us more than a CV does.
