Front Desk / Receptionist – Ophthalmology Clinic

Front Desk / Receptionist for a well-established ophthalmology clinic in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors and will play an important role in delivering a high-quality patient experience while supporting the smooth daily operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, warm and courteous manner.
- Manage front desk operations and ensure an organized patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Handle incoming telephone calls, WhatsApp inquiries and patient requests efficiently.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Register new patients and accurately update patient information in the clinic system.
- Coordinate appointments between ophthalmologists, diagnostic services and other clinical departments.
- Provide patients with clear information regarding appointments, clinic procedures and general administrative requirements.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other clinic staff to minimize waiting times and ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Handle basic billing, payment collection and receipt issuance when required.
- Support insurance-related administrative processes and ensure relevant documentation is complete.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and professional handling of sensitive information.
- Respond professionally to patient complaints or concerns and escalate issues appropriately.
- Maintain the reception area to a high professional standard.
- Assist with administrative duties, documentation and general clinic coordination as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical clinic, hospital or healthcare facility in the UAE is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in an ophthalmology, eye care, aesthetic or premium outpatient clinic is highly advantageous.
- Excellent spoken and written Arabic and English.
- Professional, polished and presentable appearance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and patient-handling skills.
- Confident dealing with patients from different cultural backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
- Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment.
- Good computer literacy and experience with clinic management, EMR or appointment-booking systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Professional attitude, discretion and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- UAE residency or availability to relocate to Dubai as required.
Preferred Profile
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Previous UAE healthcare experience.
- Experience within an ophthalmology or specialist medical clinic.
- Strong Arabic and English communication.
- A professional and patient-oriented personality.
- Experience dealing with VIP or high-end private clinic patients.
