Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Tech Lead (PHP) to lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality web applications for a large-scale Saudi governmental project. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on technical expertise with proven people management and leadership experience, guiding a cross-functional development team while collaborating with stakeholders across regions.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable full-stack web applications using PHP and modern frameworks
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding standards, security, performance, and maintainability
- Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members
- Drive technical decision-making and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies
- Oversee system integrations, APIs, and database design
People & Delivery Management
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of developers (backend & frontend)
- Plan and allocate tasks, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
- Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous feedback and coaching
- Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders
- Act as the technical point of contact for the client and internal teams
Collaboration & Governance
- Work within enterprise and governmental standards and compliance requirements
- Participate in requirement analysis, estimation, and solution planning
- Ensure documentation is maintained for systems, processes, and architecture
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack web development
- Strong expertise in PHP and popular frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, or similar)
- Solid experience with frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, modern JS frameworks)
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Proven people management or team lead experience
- Experience with RESTful APIs, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of secure coding practices and performance optimization
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience working on governmental or large enterprise projects
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience working with cross-border or regional clients (GCC experience is a plus)
