About the Role:

The ERP (Odoo) Implementation & Technical Function Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting the Odoo ERP platform across business functions.

  • This role acts as the technical-functional authority for Odoo, ensuring system stability, scalability, data integrity, and alignment with business processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Odoo ERP Architecture & Design

  • Design and maintain the functional and technical architecture of the Odoo ERP system.
  • Translate business requirements into Odoo workflows, modules, and configurations.
  • Define system integrations, data models, and approval structures.
  • Ensure ERP architecture follows security, performance, and scalability best practices.

2. Odoo Implementation & Configuration

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Odoo modules, including:
  • Sales, CRM, Invoicing
  • Purchasing & Inventory
  • Accounting & Finance
  • Configure workflows, automation rules, user roles, and permissions.
  • Coordinate with Odoo developers, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Support data migration, testing (UAT), and go-live activities.

3. ERP Integrations & Customization

  • Manage integration between Odoo and third-party systems (payment gateways, logistics, POS, reporting tools, etc.).
  • Define and review technical specifications for custom modules and enhancements.
  • Ensure customizations follow Odoo best practices and remain upgrade safe.
  • Validate API integrations and data synchronization.

4. ERP Support & Issue Resolution

  • Act as the highest escalation point for Odoo ERP issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis on system errors, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
  • Coordinate bug fixes, patches, and system upgrades.
  • Ensure system availability and minimize operational downtime.

5. Business Process Alignment & Optimization

  • Work with business teams to align real operations with ERP workflows.
  • Identify process gaps and propose system-driven improvements.
  • Optimize ERP usage to reduce manual work and increase automation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

6. Training & Knowledge Transfer

  • Train key users and internal support teams on Odoo functionality and best practices.
  • Develop user guides and system SOPs.
  • Act as Odoo Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 58 years of ERP implementation and support experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (functional and technical).
  • Experience working with multi-module ERP environments.
